Eric Bompard - Solitaire du Figaro

Eric Bompard Cashmere was for the first time associated to the 41st edition of the mythical Solitaire du Figaro. This boat-race gathered the biggest skippers from July 27 to August 20 2010.

The race started at Le Havre (in France) and set in 4 stages: Le Havre (France)-Giron (Spain); Giron-Brest (France), Brest-Kinsale(Ireland) and Kinsale-Cherbourg (France). 1717 nautical mile to travel before the finishing line!

On board of her Benétau 2, our skipper Karine Fauconnier was back after 10 years. For her fifth participation at this race, the 38-year-old woman finished at a great 23th position, after a very hard-fought race.

The story of a single-handed sailor is not too far from the story of an owner-manager: the values shared are loneliness sometimes and challenge sometimes. The many common points drived Eric Bompard to go into this competition.
